Happy New Year everyone! I am sure I am not the only one who is happy to see the back of 2020. But will 2021 be much different? Here's hoping.
I realise I haven't posted anything in a long time. I have started writing so many times, but I never really got into it. Perhaps all the doom and gloom got to me as I wrote about restrictions, etc. Nevermind, we will start afresh now that it is 2021 and cross our fingers that the light at the end of the tunnel is getting nearer and brighter.
Travel...oh how I miss it! I miss being able to go and visit people and places and I miss people coming to visit me. And of course I miss people coming to Alkmaar and trusting me to show them around this lovely city. I have had a number of emails from people asking questions about tours for 2021 and hopefully travel will be possible again and I can welcome you all to Alkmaar very soon.
For those of you who are able to travel - Alkmaar Tours has socially distanced walking and cycling tours. The old city streets and canals are still here and the tulip fields will still bloom. And I of course am still here! Tours will still be happening in accordance with government guidelines, etc. Of course things may change and then change again, but if you have a question then please don't hesitate to send us an email.
So here is hoping that 2021 will bring us health, happiness and travel!
